Got my replacement cartridges for my Buddy, so I'll be making water for a while still, but there was no flow at first, and then very slow- it was quick before, so I checked into replacing the membrane- never thought about that- 12-24 months or when the flow filtered / waste is slow- so now I...
I did the math and it's true or better- 10g of waste to make 2g of R/O per day- so my cartridges should only last about 8 months. So I'm back at my original question- and most can't answer it. I have a spring fed well with about 150TDS, with no chemicals, do I need to run it through a R/O or...
I have the R/O Buddy and a spring fed well. When looking at the instructions, it should make 500g before replacement/ 2500g of waste- mine lasted 8 months- just checked today and it's TDS are over 35- my well water is under 150- sometimes I wonder if it's worth using it
So I bought 3 from a diver/ collector- added one to the DT with the larger one I got from the LFS and put the other 2 in the 13g- they're small- all is fine- the 2 in the DT ignore each other but eat together- the 2 in the 13g chase each other from time to time but are fine- all pick at rock/...
I like my rock and the scape I have for the most part. I just move stuff around- usually for the corals, sometimes to adjust the flow in the tank, sometimes to get more space on the bed toward the front, sometimes to create a cave
I've had my striped and bicolor for a while- very hardy and get along fine. The striped is a bit more active- both have their cubbies to hang in. Right now my fave is the canary- always visible, always on the hunt for a morsel- belly is always full- I have lots of pods- love the color and gets...
My 75g is my 5th tank- still have the original 13g- others rehomed ( and still have the 40 as a time out for bullies and pod tank for now ), the 75 has been up and running for 9 months and I'm still rearranging the scape. Nothing is glued down including most of the corals - except those that...
This morning I noticed my jawfish cleaning out an area under a rock next to it's home. First thought was why is it moving- all that rubble. Turned out it was tired of the watchman trying to share it's hole, so it made a cubby for it- I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes
