Anyone willing to foster a female ocellaris clown, she's like 5 years old? I have to finish tearing down my 58 and she's in there with nothing but a green rasta coral, the rock is cooking in a tub.
We have one, but,
1) We are all the way up in Rockaway 07866
2) You would have to disassemble and remove it yourself
3) Given as is, we assume no liability for anything that happens to you :) or anyone else when they use it.
It's a Creative Playthings model with a ladder across the top and a...
That's one reason most of my stuff is going in the garage. Well not the lights.
On the plus side, if you have electric heat, like I do, in the winter time the tank runs for "free," that is, it heats your house and reduces the need for the baseboards to kick on.
An article in today's New York Times http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/08/science/08fish.html?_r=1&oref=sloginmade me think about installing a microphone in my tank to listen to some tang talk. Has anyone ever played with a hydrophone and their reef?
If you go to the article on the web, you can...
It was on an endcap in the middle of the store, pointing towards the back of the store, more to the left side of the store than the right. It's with canning jars and picking salt, too. I hope that helps.
By definition, it's food-grade, so what's not to like. I may be a cheapskate reefer, but I have grown many pounds of acro and monti skeleton using only pickling lime (kinda weird when you think about it). I mostly used Ball's brand, though.
Hey, did you guys originally run a big ETSS skimmer on...
Here are some detail shots of my tank construction for people curious about Glasscages:

these holes were perfect, and very smooth
Took the rock outta my 58G macroalgae/toilet tank. Gonna take it down as soon as I find a home for the green rasta and clownfish that were living there.
Rock went into the garage to cook for a few months, get rid of all the hair, hydroids, hemmorhoids, flatworms, and other assorted pests.

I don't think Ben Franklin said anything about bacteria, since the name was not coined until the 1800s. He did however make the great quote that "Beer is proof that God loves us, and wants us to be happy!"
The founding fathers were quite distrustful of drinking water and often quenched their...
Oh no, I have slipped to page 2. That won't do.
Yesterday I had a dedicated circuit set up for my reef and for my smaller cichlid tank. I feel pretty clever, here's what I did: My house has electric baseboard heat. Along with the thermostatically controlled baseboards, there were a few...
My woodstove is in the next room (with no door). I've never seen more than a couple degrees swing, and sometimes we run that room up to 80F if it's really cold out and we want to feel spoiled. The tank provides a natural sorce of hudity which is sorely needed in the bone-dry air that woodburning...
