I'm pretty sure I have one among my unused plumbing collection. I'll check when I get home.
It shouldn't be a big problem to do. My only advice is to carefully examine the inside surface around the hole, where the gasket will seat. If possible, take a cloth and some white vinegar and clean it up...
I don't think you need a chiller. I never used one when I was running 4X36W PCs over my 90G. You do need a cooling fan strategy.
I have run several tanks with MH and no chiller. It really helps if the tank has an open top and the MH is pendant style. You can get a fantastic amount of evaporative...
My Dad died last Sunday, age 94. It was not unexpected, they had given us a window of a week to a month. He lasted 13 days from that point. It's a hell of a shock even if you're ready, and there is a lot of stuff that needs to be done in these situations. If you want to read about him, the obit...
I'm pretty sure you can still get Quinsulex capsules, I had to ask the store to order them. They are from Aquarium Pharmaceuticals nd they're cheap. All the blue/green stuff in Greenex did was turn the silicone in your tank green!
I have suffered with flatworms myself and have never been able to completely get rid of them (that's why I'm building a new tank ::)).
I have tried mandarins, yellow "coris" wrasses, and velvet slugs, and even a weird Sargassum shrimp from the gulf of Mexico. Some of these have eaten flatworms...
ReefsAndRotts, did you used to go to Cherry Ridge?
That Barrett gonna blow a hole in the back of any indoor range! I used to go to Greeleys in Cedar Grove (long gone), you couldn't shoot any long guns there or even magnums. They would come back and bust your chops if they heard magnums.
All...
Rockaway (Morris County) in the tha house! We have three members up here, and some more in surrounding towns.
The bulkheads that come with regular reef ready tanks are light duty, I think schedule 40. On my big tank project I am using heavy duty (schedule 80) which are beeefier to hold heavier...
Hi, and welcome. I too am a fan of symbiosis/commensalism/parasitism!
Well, there is the sea cucumber -- gonad-eating buttfish pearlfish relationship. That's pretty cool, maybe not visually so great.
I love seeing an acro head hosting a bunch of the little acro crabs (trapezius), it's a shame...
Cutting Tempered Glass
Jeezus....don't cut tempered glass. I have been cutting apart my busted 50G to make sump baffles. The bottom was apparently tempered glass. I KNEW it was probably tempered. It was a convenient size so I said, "what the hell, maybe it will work." Someone had said tempered...
I am generally happier at 48 than I was at 24. There are fewer adventures, some parts don't work as well as they used to, but I am more secure and there's not much in my life I can't handle. I honestly believe if most people could go back they wouldn't.
I am reminded of a clever sig line that...
He has had a few problems from time to time. I think he just fit a big new sequence pump to the system, may help. You can't deny that the freshwater section looks great, and who has a bigger selection of spiders?
Reason I ask, is, You should call Adam's Pet Safari in Chester, he gets them sometimes and can get you one if you ask him. Tell him I sent you. I have a real good hedgehog book for you if you want (Pygmy African Hedgehogs as Your New Pet).
What is it with reefers? If they made a coffin out of...
