Small store, been around a long time, mostly budget grade dry goods, small amount of SW fish and coral. Only game in town if you live at the shore (south).
You should be able to feed it almost anything. I used to feed mine, scallops, shrimp and fish...ON A BAMBOO SKEWER. It would be fine with fish in a tank, but will definitely go after any of your crustacean's.
I have a variety of shrimp in my tank, including: Skunk, Coral Banded, Blood and Peppermint. I also have a couple clams, and breeding clowns. I've never had a problem with them irritating the clams or with the clown fish eggs. Or, between each other for that matter.
I have a DSB, between 4 and 7 inches of sugar sized oolitic aragonite. I don't do anything to it, but I do have a couple of conch's. I do have enough water flow there that gives me some water flow, without creating a sand storm.
It could be either a light or nutrient issue. I have a tri color valida and a purple nana, that begin to turn brown, if they aren't getting enough light or my nutrients start to creep up.
