Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
When you become a member you can participate and the information is all explained in the "stickys" in the GB forum. You'll pay for the membership out of what you save by using it in the GB's, and Deals and Steals forum you'll have access to at that time.
In the FWIW column, I have two of these on a 6 foot tank, and have both Crocea and Maxima Clams on the bottom (24"). They are a very vanilla unit, and can't be dimmed, but I couldn't dim my t-5's or MH's either. I can control the blue/white off/on with timers, since they have their own power...
Do you still have that fixture? These are made with different blue/white ratio's, if you got one that was rated at 20,000K it probably has 30blue/25white vs 30white/25blue. Or, it may have been one of the earlier offerings using 120 1W LED's. I bought two 120W Blueline's from Champion and they...

estimated cost: $338.00
The only other one I'm aware of that hasn't been suggested it Aquarium Center in Blackwood, but that might be a little bit of a jog for you. I do most of my shopping on line and in group buys.
I have seen this before. I run a GAC reactor and have 4 tangs and don't have any HLLE problem. I wonder if it's a particular type of carbon, or maybe how it was processed? Any knowledge/ideas?
I doubt that the zapper had anything to do with the additional propagation of the aptaisia.

If you can't get one through the club, there are a number of on line vedors who sell used, reconditioned, food grade drums.
Here is one:

I think the best thing is that after all is said and done, there will be some competition. Right now I don't have any choice and Comcast knows it. I bet I'll be able to get a better deal once Fios becomes available.
Fios isn't available here yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I was wondering, if your house is prewired for cable, how do you get the signal to your individual tv's? Or do you have to rewire the house too?
