Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
FWIW, initially, I'd use the tank water, if it's param's are good, it would cause less stress in moving the fish. Whatever treatment you decide on will kill the dinospores anyway.
Diagnosis is the first problem here. If it's Brooklynella, then Fromalin would be a better choice. I think I'd look at the Kordon site and do a little reading. They should have a number of products to help here. I know I've use Copper-Tru and Fromalin 3 for this type of problem, with success in...
I would go with a 20 gal. bare bottom tank and try hypo salinity first. If that doesn't work you could try some cupramine. I'd put some pieces of PVC in the HT for the fish to hide in. You'll have to allow your DT to lie fallow for a couple of months or more, before re introducing fish.
Be careful of any PH's that you may have running in the tank, until they find a spot they're happy with they'll float around and potentially get trapped in the intake and become BTAburger.
The MH's were originally 10,000K and I replaced them with XM 15,000K, to pick up a little more blue. The 4 Actinics are true 03 Coralife. The original spec's should be in the MD link in the first post.
Take my wife, please. Actually I'm no longer married. I didn't have anything in mind for a trade. I didn't want to limit it to just cash if someone had some really drop dead beautiful corals they wanted to part with. I'm setting up my QT so I can cure a 50 lb. box of Pukani Dry that's been...
I have it on the tank mounted legs, so the light is 4 1/2" above the surface of the water. The top of the fixture is 5 1/2 " above the top of the tank.
I did see that, but thought there were too many inconsistencies between them. One is the weight, the blueline comes in at 11 lbs. and the amazon at 7.5, the amazon claims it will replace a 400w MH, the blueline a 250MH. So, it seemed like if something looks too good to be true.....
