Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Mike sounds like he's got the perfect solution. Also, TwinReef had KILLER flow in his tank with sand. You might want to search for his thread. I know I asked him what kind of sand he had that he could have sand not be disturbed by his flow.
Wow. I wish I had the answer. Who's make ballast is it? Maybe they could answer the Q for you (unless it is PFO -- if it is, I may be able to find out through a friend who used to work there).
Shooting a baby shower that afternoon or I would definitely be there. Simon was a backup speaker for us during MACNA and such a great guy I would love to hear him speak!
With a little help from photoshop you could move that wire so that it looks like a pet you have on a "dog" run! LOL! Great pictures. Cool bear. Would scare the dickens out of me! Bear fishing in the pond would be a TOTAL bummer. Hopefully they don't LIKE koi!
They start to shift color spectrum after about 4 months. The shift in color spectrum encourages algae growth. You get much better par per watt out of T5s. T5s don't shift until after a year. I've had two PC ballasts melt down on me inside the case. Always wondered why (but grateful that) they...
What a fun time! So much excitment bringing a new life into the world. Congrats and good luck! Can't wait to see the new little face when Kaleb joins the reefing community! :)
Herbie has to be one of the greatest reefers I've had the pleasure to meet though this great club. Always so willing to give, help and share. Thanks Herbie. For being who you are.
If you have a lab print the picture it will render just fine, even though it looks pixelated on the screen. I'm thinking this is more a limitation of your monitor than Windows ability to render the file to the printer. No matter how large my pictures are when I go to print them using the Windows...
Uh... I'm not home, so I suppose anything is possible (though more likely if I was home and he wasn't, lol). I did talk to him earlier and he didn't mention selling (nor moving).
For a new tank, if there's sand in the bottom of the tank I would not add fresh water to the tank first and then add the salt to mix. You'll end up with fresh water in the sand that way. I would mix the saltwater externally first by having a container with water and then add the salt to it for...
As Nikki suggests, clear plastic containers (specimen container) are the easiest way to catch them because they can't see them coming. You should be able to use your hand to encourage the fish out of the 'nem and into the container. I caught Todd's crosshatch trigger out of his FOWLR that way...
