I pull all the bottom leaves off before they fall. I also mist with ro water almost every day. they don't like salt on their leaves.

RODI water to fill bucket. pump, salt, heater. it doesn't make sense to put salt in my 35 gal. bucket then slowly drip water into it. just common sense I think.

I turn mine on at 7 am because I'm out early. then my halides come on around 2 pm off at 8. atinics go off around 6.

I have the same fixture and you have to change those pc's every 6 month ma be 8 or algae starts to grow. I'm using 20k radium's. love it. then I switched out my pc's to a 50/50 bulb. much brighter and with the 20K's I didn't need full actinics. even got more shimmer with the 20K's

these work great. I have 2. one for kalk reactor. one for make up water. got them at home depot. same ones.only 2 recpt. I guess thats multi.

I had a bi color and lawnmower in a 150 tank The bi color would dart out for food but if he stayed out long the lawnmower would mow him down. he didn't bother any other fish though.

when I first started out lfs and others were suggesting large quantities of snails and hermits to start a tank. meaning after month or two. Ive learned not to over stock these creatures and putting in less they stay alive longer.

I do the same. a lot of skimmers come with a hose in the cup. I used to have a smaller one that did not. I took a male threaded jg fitting (you know for RO unit) drilled the cup 1/3 up from the bottom and siliconed it in place then a 1/4" hose into a bucket.

I check on it everyday but empty every couple days.

I heard reef roids are awsome but I have no experience with it.

I use a notebook just for dates on light changes. when corals or fish are introduced. water changes I can remember from week to week still. 55 now so it may not be too long before I'll have to write everything down. walnetto anyone
