To me this is one of the benifits of having a fuge. leave it alone and like Phil said better in there than display. Thats where algae grows. Hey if you want another tank do another display.

Matt dont most RO units employ a carbon insert? mine does.

I think the ASM g series is a great skimmer and price. also recirculating G3 or 4 would work on a 180.

when they first harvest live rock there is a TON of life in it. our rock after shipping several times and all that die off then it finally makes it to our tank and dies off some more is less likely to produce as bad a cycle in that amount of time. you should be ok. kind of sad that we cant get...
