what size was the clam? under 3" they do need to be fed whether you want to or not.deresa clams dont need as much light as others. mine is on the sand bed for 2 yrs. now.
just a note on sand beds redusing nitrates. they do until the sand becomes saturated. then they begin to release nitrates and phosphates. If you clean it from the beginning and continue to maintain it during each water change it is a far less chance of releasing hydrogen sulphate.
funny thing is you looked like you were trying to take picks of coral and were afraid of taking your eye off that trigger. imagine how that reef must have looked like years ago before all the dissipation? I know the colors are hard to capture. it must have been amazing. I may go to islands in...
it's a fixed lens. manual focus. any opinons? want to make the decision yesterday. also dont want to purchase a mistake. I think it's an older lens think it came out in the early 90's
never bought these lenses. finally ready to purchase and I'm looking at a nikon 105 2.5 Ai'd used for 149. in E cond. Is this a decent lens for the money?
corals seem to go thru changes during the summer/winter season. I actually think the halides in the winter/t5's in the summer is a good idea. sort of faking them out. At least worth a try.
depends if this will be fish only tank or reef. FO. I like butterflys, angels, tusk, a nice wrasse ma be. trigger, tang. its really up to you. go slow..I started to restock my 75 after loosing some really nice fish to ich. so far a lattice butterfly. tom. tang and pearly jawfish.
yea that stinks. sorry for your loss.its funny but whenever I see these fish they are usually kept in a cup at the bottom of the tank. that tells me something right there.
I'm no expert but if they are eating add vitamins and get them fat. I never had much luck with copper treatment. The stress of netting them out into treatment tank can be worse. (my experience) others have had success. ma be a couple cleaner shrimp but your fish may eat them. black worms...
Only went once to that fish place just to go there and came right home.
however we have family in that area and often visit and of course I go to that store while I'm there.
