Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Linkya starfish are too sensitive to conditions of most fishtanks, swing in temperature or chemistry and it self-destructs.
I've decided not to try keeping these and would not advise anyone.
It is an old post, so by now it is dead, right ? If that was earlier I would advise to remove it from...
Thanks guys, will try turkey blaster and finger on RBTA. Though my clowns may attack. In my old tank clowns would bite if I put my hand near GBTA. By the way, that GBTA is still lives in my new tank, clowns gone and have been replaced. And GBTA haven't ever split. It survived several tank...
someone had (may be still available) humuhumunukunukuapuaa trigger fish on chain-gang.
He's pretty and pretty non-reef safe.
You may have to practice saying the name before you ask for it.
I think I better withrew my interest in hare. My HA is dark, and it looks like it is dying off. That could be the reason why it was not an attractive food option for the hare that died.
Middletown, NJ is not far away from me (I'm in Staten Island), so if no one is interested, I'll take him.
I just can't figure out what could be bothering by old one? SPS look OK, so to me this is an indication of decent water conditions. Temp is around 78.5 F, not too hot, plenty of HA and shady...
The sea hare is no more, it tried to go in the same corner and did not eat HA, which I still have plenty of, I guess something bothered him.
I never saw his poop (some people say they siphon it out to prevent it cycling back).
HA is receeding though, I'm doing weekly WC with plucker.
I suspect...
When I do WC I attach pen tube (about 1/4" diam) to a working end of hose, then as HA get's sucked in, I press my finger agains the tube to hold HA in and pull it out (just suction of water is not enouph to rip it).
What I'm thinking is to modify it somehow to allow plucking in hard to reach...
Well, sea hare is no more. Not sure what did him in, but my daughter told me 'no more sea hares'. It was still in one piece but when I took it out, it stunk. My HA is going down, mostly because of weekly WC and plucking.
Today in the morning he was in the corner, I picked him and put on the rock covered with HA. In evening he was in the same spot, ears not expanded as normal, blow holes half closed. Now I see 3 asterina stars on him too (eating him?). Looks like the end of loan-a-hare? I'm doing weekly water...
I have slightly damaged Nikon D50 (was dropped), lens 18-55 and body slightly damaged where they connect (threads broke off) and a crack on body.
Would anyone need it for parts, or is it garbage now ? What is a normal price for this parts-ready camera+lens ?
The Sea Hare is still alive. I do not see him eating much, even though there is a plenty of HA there. It is mostly on the glass. I saw it sticking it's head in the air, put it on the HA, but later saw it on the glass again. Either he's full and not hungry or something is wrong.
Should Sea Hare...
