I'm about to buy a new housing for the DI and add it at last stage. those smaller diameter ones for some reason the water does not flow evenly thru them and color changes quickly in the di. also a bypass is another item I want to add. I would never use tap water. even conditioned

The reactor looks good. Im not sure what to recomend on media. I use phosban and carbon in 2 seperate units. some guys like chemipure. Is there something you are trying to correct in your tank?

depends on size of fish. reef tank? small fish more fish.

I've had my 2nd tank set up for 5 months and I'm still tweeking little problems which caused the salinity to fluctuate. If I had expensive corals in there its a good chance I would have lost them and that's heartbreaking. also one of the reasons some people give up.

overall it is a herbivore.yes they will eat some other things on a small scale, whereas some if not most sand sifting stars are carnivore.

came from MikeM he has 250's I have 150's so it was used to more light not less and had bubbles in his tank. but it sounds like this is normal behavior.

want to share on figuring the whole thing out perspective?

do these sometimes streach out like this? (not bubble) could this be an issue?

don't know about Jim but I have 2 cleaner shrimp and he never bothers them. also snails and hermits. same thing. Jim could have had small ornamental shrimp?

found out from a reliable sourse they use tap water and also sell it in their mix. definatly not acclamating and probably never will.

so is he eating yet?
