does anyone have a 1-1/2 to 2" bit I could borrow for 1 hole?
Can't see buying expensive diamond bit that I may never use again just for one hole.
2" preferable
nice store and good prices. just getting started but shows much promise.
bought a nice 2 head acan for $20.
1109 rt. 35 next to house of paints
worth a visit.
I was told the only tempered glass on my tank is the bottom.
does anyone have the proper drill bit? would like 2" but 1-1/2 would also work.
I can bring the tank to you and will not hold you responsible if it cracks.
Since I'm planning to put a frag section in sump with a decent light I decided to go glass. just to keep it clean and scrachless. so what brand tanks can be drilled? something used out there? has to be max of 42" long which is custom I know. 12" wide x20"deep.
I clean off rocks with turkey baster and once a month hook up diatom filter (without the powder) and take out as much loose dirt as I can. If you do this don't be too aggressive. and that's in addition to things mentioned.
it's tempered.
maybe I'll run a submersible. only thing is my dolphin pumps 3600 gph
anyone using an in sump pump that big? seems to me it would produce a lot of heat
I have a fairly new 55 gal. glass tank I was going to use for a sump but I want to keep my external pump. does anyone have one to sell or sell trade? wanted to go about a 55 for a 150 D.T. If not where do I get one? are they hard to make?
I've been running ozone for about 4 months and the skimmer does not pull anything any more. It's just a place to run the ozone thru.
Has anyone ever experimented with a fluidized bed filter? Always been interested but never gave it a try. I heard most of the ones that fit under the tank are good...
It's up to you. personally I just put chato in since I do water changes from my sump.
if you have sand and rock in your dt you dont need it there too. tends to build nitrates. but it's your call.
John it's frustrating I know.
My tank is going on 3 yrs and sps did great for a yr. or so then bam bleaching out and loss of pieces. parameters good for me too. I've been told it just happens.
one thing I did do when that happens is frag the heck out of the piece before losing it completely. not...
