I hear ya. I rarely buy from them and even that day I just went in for dog food. I am taking them on to try to change their policies. I told them it's not about the refund anymore. If it makes them take care of these fish better it will be worth it.

I gave corporate a rash of you know what. they said they would look into it. Today I got a call from the boss at that store. He told me they do acclimate 45-60 min and he never told his employee not to do it also the employee denied telling me that. >:( basically called me a liar.

sorry not getting it what are the holes for? Are you saying the pipe goes all the way to the bottom and the sock fits inside the pipe? Holes are so it sinks to the bottom?

I also bought the kalk reactor from group buy and have 2 timers one for stirring kalk. one for ato. although I love the automation, In retrospec I would just put kalk in ato bucket and call it a day. This is how I used to do it and I don't see a big change now that I have the reactor.

my experince is the chato grows under almost any light. I'm running a home depot clip light with no heat bulb 14 watts and chato is still growing like crazy. 0 nitrates

if you fill a bucket in 60 sec. 60 gph. it took 2 min. thats 30 gph. that is why I asked if this was too slow but your saying thats good? I could tune it down even more.

2 sections cover the whole bottom of 48"x18" so each section is 24x18. would rather not add more pumps but are you thinking I should have 2 pumps on each section? (too much) or turn up the flow a little?

only reverse pump that I found looked like too much flow so I used 2 404 mini jets. connected 1/2 inch tubing to the return then capped of the top of the main tube. drilled a 1/2" hole in it and passed it thru to 1" short of the bottom of tank. seems to be working great adjusted flow half way on...
