Only problem I see is the egg crate and corals over top the macros. Macro algaes need light and the egg crate and corals will shade them from that. Without light the macros will die off.
What if the other pump decides to flow more water and the larger pump decides to slow down a bit?
2 pumps is asking for trouble in the long run. It's only a matter of when it will happen. Most likely when nobody is home.
This is a common problem when trying to run 2 return pumps. Even pumps of the same make and model will not pump at the same rate, there are small differences in every pump.
You would be much better off going with a single sump and larger return pump.
Test your source water. If your town adds chloramines to the water supply, an RO/DI unit cannot remove them and they will usually show up as ammonia. Only carbon filtration will remove them.
That's cool if you can truly get him to mimic. Him raising up could just be a defense reaction to make himself appear larger. When they truly mimic it is really hard to tell them from the real thing.
The mimic species are some of the most intelligent and least know about species of octos...
It is not known what triggers their mimic reactions. However they have never been witnessed to mimic in captivity. Nor is their natural diet or needs really known. The only thing really known about this species of octo is that they require a lot of room to move around. Their natural home range...
Once you thaw out frozen foods they start to break down in a matter of hours, even in the fridge. After a day it should be used or thrown out. A few days in the fridge is pushing the limits on it being spoiled.
This statement is not only ridiculous bit it isn't even remotely true. Australia has some of the strictest marine life regulations in the world. In now way, shape or form do they condone releasing fish back into the wild, native or non-native species.
Dragon faced pipes will not do much for an infestation. The red bugs can reproduce quicker than they can eat them. They are good to have in a QT to pick of any small number of red bugs before they get into your tank, but once the bugs set up camp the pipes can't keep up.
I'm puzzled. External pumps don't normally increase tank temperatures. Unless the pump is adding so much heat inside the stand that it is heating the water. Try opening the stand doors and putting a fan either blowing in or out to get rid of any heat build up.
