I have a similar sized skimmer (skimz 201) with similar neck size and air intake. I feed heavy as well. 200g total volumn. I can bring PO4 and NO3 to undetectable level if I want to. Your skimmer rating is HEAVY - 180 GALLONS, MEDIUM - 200 GALLONS, LIGHT - 265 GALLONS according to premium...

Nems can be stupid. One of mine keep finding a rock to hide in while it's mother is happily waving outside. Long term not enough light is not good.

Paul - I want more white when only the blue channel is on. When the blue is on I cannot see the true color of the fish. Everything looks fluorescent. I figure by moving 3 whites from the white channel to the blue channel it will get close to the ATI blue+ look. Then when the white is on it can...

    Is my sump big enough

I use a 40g for my 200g system. It kind of depending on the plumbing. My Herbie system has more backflow when the pump is turned off compare to the a durso system. So assuming you do not have anything else in the sump it depends on whether your sump can handle the backflow when the pump is...

    NO3-PO4-X users....

I have just started using it a few weeks ago replacing a BP reactor, just so one fewer piece of equipment in the sump. So far the result is good. Here's my method: Do not use GFO as it's not only expensive but also makes things complicated. However you can leave your macros running. Measure...

    MarsAqua LED Mod

Thanks Paul. I will contact you when I get the light fixtures. The blue channel which is on the longest time is too blue. Trying to get as close to the t5 blue+ color. I am hoping switching two of the white diodes will achieve the desired effect.

I see. Everything going thru that one wire? That's nice.

    Going back to t5

When you consider the $ involved to light a tank properly the ATI T5 fixtures are really a good deal. Get the dimmable one and you will need only one cable. So it looks slick with no wire galore, especially when hung from the ceiling.

    In Search Of Manifold Valve

I use an inline valve for this. You should be able to find it locally. It might fit. There are also 90 degree elbows you can use to route the pipe. Mur-lok RO Inline Ball Valve Push Connect - Bulk Reef Supply

    Inherited 90

Good job! DC pumps are great if only they make one for high head pressure I will switch in a heart beat. The ones working with pressure are those made in Germany and they cost thousands of dollars. For your manifold I would have a union right at the output of the pump so you can swap the pump...
