I noticed 2 very tiny aptasia or majanos on the blue hornet plug I picked up at the swap. I did a dip in coral Rx before they went in the tank and clearly made it through. What other dips are available for zoas? Can I use Bayer? Will dip work for them? They are very tiny, I'm not even sure I'd...
I agree if the live rock is really dead rock then you might wanna cycle first before adding in the house it can smell kind of foul. If its dead as in never been live before like Marco or BRS then you can do that in house. Rock then sand. If your gonna cycle anyway save a few bucks and just get...
I purchased 90 lbs(3 bags) for my tank. I only used 2 bags, 60lbs. If your going for a shallow bed then 2 will be more then enough. My bed varies from about 1.5"-2.5".

Looking forward to seeing this come together Judeo. Looks like a nice plan going with the high end stuff. Its also gonna be nice to see Rob's work, stricly for future planning purposes:)
No macro lens. My Nikon is one of those cameras that look like a DSLR but is not. I guess it's a juiced up point and shoot. Set it on macro and then shot through a magnifying glass. It worked well enough.
Here's a few pics of some of the stuff I got.
Jawbreaker
Jack o lantern
Smooth Criminal convict
Gold jawbreakers
Blue hornets
Miami hurricane
Nuclear sunset mushroom
Rainbow Ricordia
Got some other stuff too just couldn't get good pics yet. Now I have to find a place to put them.
I would go with the six at lease. On my 8 bulb Tek the length of the front to back bulbs is only 15". Yes there will be more spread in the tank but your talking about a 24" tank you have. I would start with 6 bulbs. It's good to see the talk everyone was having is swaying people back to T5.
Had an SPS free day today. My only SPS was a freebie from Chris Messier for a pre order. But I still spent a plenty.
