Yesterday was the first time I've been there in about 2 years. I just don't like the attitudes, the selection, or the algaes in their tanks. But this is really a conversation for the retailer experience forum. Like I said, HD stuff will work fine for your application. Anything else I usually go...
I would say try to return it. (IMO) stop going to OG2 for ANYTHING. Then go to HD and get yourself two regular grounded timers and a GFI. Put the GFI in and plug the two timers into that and the lights into the timers.
I'd imagine that much load going through something not made for that kind of wattage would be a problem. I've had two heavy duty timers "go slow" on me in the past two years. The guys at HD think it's because I'm running 350Watts through one timer. I can't imagine what 500 or 800 Watts...
Not that I like the place for corals or any SW for that matter, but I was in there yesterday getting a koi and they now carry an OK collection of SPS frags and a small tank of macroalgae in case anyone is interested.
For what purpose? Lights or pumps? For emaple, I use the Tsunami wavemaker for my PHs and the heavy duty outdoor timers for my MHs and regular grounded timers for the VHOs. That being said, using the heavy duty timers for any dual MH setup more powerful than a 175 Watt would probably be a...
I origionally had a 30 long planned to go under the 75 as a sump. It didn't fit, so I traded it in for a 20 high. That fits fine under the 75 (same footprint as a 90) in an AGA stand. It just too a little wiggling. I didn't want something under there that I couldn't get out, just in case there's...
I agree with what Marcelo said. Go to Home Depot, get like 5 or 10 of those orange HD buckets and the tops (tops can be found in the paint dept.) Then use those to move everything. (Just wash them out first) They also make great water mixing buckets and stuff.......
He probably closed too fast and just fell over or something knocked him over. Take a half shell of another clam and put the live clam on that. It's foot will attach and then it won't fall over anymore. On the sand they don't have anything to attach to.
Sorry Phyl, tone came off wrong after re-reading the post. I wasn't complaining, just adding my $200 dollars again (2 cents just isn't enough).
Once I get in a better place, I already have a 90 gal. RR set aside for a frag tank, so maybe then I could be the northern hookup. Should only be a few...
Less than an hour to Jackson! No way. Mapquest puts it at an hour and 45 min.s What does East Brunswick have to do with it? Jackson and AC are the two pickup locations...
Just an idea - but as far as keeping a certain number of frags to grow out and refrag and sell for NJRC income.....
You want to decentralize your frag collection. Not that it would happen (hopefully) but God forbid Merv's tank crashes today while he's at work. All our corals are gone. Whereas...
Grab her by the feet and swing her in circles REAL fast. If you do it right, the parts come apart at the joints.....
Try getting her caught on a smaller circle, then drag her around that circle quickly and she'll go through the circle.
Also, a fun game...... let her fall a few seconds, then...
