i've seen an article in tfh where certain fish respond to their own reflections in mirrors, i can just imagine all my fish jumping from the tank cause they think another fish is coming at them from underneath...lol
nice, looks cool, and it's available in colors now, and it looks like they have something called marine board for saltwater aplications, should i get the 1/4" or would 1/16" suffice?
what color looks nicest for the bottom of a bare bottom tank? i know eventually it will be purple.... blue(like marine background), purple (like coralline), black, or tan (like sand)? what have most people gone with?
as previously stated, you might pay a little less for the pc fixture, but bulbs will need to be replaced every 6 months like clock work rather that 1 - 1 1/2 years..... and i think the bulbs might cost more.... you will spend more in the end
could work.... might want to think about complementary lighter towards the blue end of the spectrum, the 7500 i suppose would give good growth, but would be a little yellowish, so a couple good actinics would round it out some..
i just saw one of the pics of your tank phyl, (what i aspire to btw) but you have such an amazing variety of corals in there would make me assume all of your levels are correct...
wait a second.... just thinking in my head, that looks like an inline RO system that probably just puts the drain water back into the system, but i wonder how they keep it from removing the salt from the water?????
i feed my tank rather heavily, and keep nice fresh bulbs in my t5's but i've had similar thing happen to a couple of mine, lost a beautiful pink ric the same way, made me soo sad :'( ..... i think sometimes they get the "mystery no explanation shrinking issue" that happens sometimes with zoos...
just keep in mind how much space you keep between the tank and the wall, you never know if you may want to add some sort of hob gizmo.... i always keep it about 8-10" away from the wall
