from the point of view of someone that knows NOTHING about photography, i think they look nice. but again, that is merely my completely uneducated opinion....
i hate to even mention the name but "animals and things" they are evil to their live stock, but up by the registers they have a cabinet with covers for hob filter intakes, i'm sure one would fit... but like i told a buddy who USED to shop there too... for every dollar you spend there, a little...
ok, does everyone else have this problem also? i have a 75 gallon tank open top tank,
48" 4 bulb light with a splash guard that slides into the grooves. now what happens is salt gets into the seams between the fixture and the splash guard. so now when i need to change a bulb, or try new ones to...
my only question is this, what is the difference in widths? would the 8 bulb fixture leave enough room to work in the tank without having to take the lights off?
they used to be alot nicer.... but last couple times i was there they had really let themselves go... unless things have improved in the last 3 or 4 months, they don't take the best care of their live stock... when i was doing freshwater tanks, that was the place to go.... but nowadays..... :-[
don't support reeftopia... from what others say they don't support out club.... i'm sure there is nothing they have that you couldn't get from a dozen other places
i'd say just wait, bide your time and buy it from club members selling theirs... it'll already be cured, and probably more habitated with life than you would get from most lfs, and the average seems to be like $3.00/pound
FROM THE WAY IT SOUNDS, IT SEEMS THERE ARE SHIM OF A SORT BETWEEN THE TANK AND THE STAND, THAT IS THE ONLY THINGS THAT SEEM ODD TO ME... ANY THING THAT HOLDS THE TANK TOGETHER SHOULD BE PART OF OR INTEGRALLY ATTACHED TO THE TANK, AM I WRONG? CAUSE I'M IMAGINING WEDGES BETWEEN THE TANK AND STAND
