i feel ur pain i put 4 small peppermint shrimps in my tank yesterday, and my cleaner shrimp picked one off before it hit the bottom, and grabbed the other one 5 min later.... i hope the other 2 are good hiders, but for some reason i don't think they'll make it to their first molt...

and f.y.i. from what i understand, which in most cases is not that much, torches, frog spawns, hammers, and such, don't really like to be hosted.... one of my clowns flirts with my frogspawns. and sometimes the frogs seem rather disinterested...

my candy cane fell onto my maze brain coral once, and the candy cane looked like it din't enjoy the experience much, but after a week, maybe a little longer, it was back to new.... no worries

being in middletown i can vouch for the validity of the prior suggestion.... a couple pet stores, but nothing that would compete with a good "reef" store, 36 would be a good location too, and would get alot of passerby shore traffic in the summer months

from what i understand, most lfs's sell their tanks at a very minimal mark up cause they hope to sell you all the stuff that goes inside.... so give or take a couple $... prices are pretty competitive

generally not a big deal, i've had a small amount of vermatid in my tank almost since the beginning, but i have heard of isolated instances of them taking over a tank.
