my sixline made the big jump out of the tank yesterday.... but remarkably (sp?) i heard him land on a card board box next to the tank.... luckiest little guy ever.... got him back in with no issues.....

i have a couple giant conch shells that make up my main rock formation.... looks nice and natural, and i like to use small clam shells as natural frag discs for pieces i know i'm gonna want to keep for things like rics and zoos... but thats just my experience... i suppose i could have gotten...

i'm about ready to nix my hermits crabs, are they even that helpful.... tired of picking up frag disks and putting stuff back where it belongs every day.... but the crabs never bother my dendros or sun coral... now the cleaner shrimp is another story when it comes to them.....

i used the liquid flat worm exit (bought at aquatic obsessions).... i did have to dose more than once, didn't kill any shrimp, or crabs that i know of, big serpent star was ok, lost some micro brittle stars though.... over all, i found it to be a good product, and with this stuff you can leave...

let me know when you frag some of those "very nice and unique" zoos.... ;)

why not wait till someone in the club is selling rock, usually goes for under $3 / pound.... and it will be from someone known and trusted..... buying and selling within the club is a fantastic resource...

a general f.y.i... the part you would be looking for is a 3" sshedule 35 pvc ty.... it's a thinner guage than what you would typically find.... used in underground non pressure irrigation applications...

how bout cutting them off, and putting something over the root where they were growing so they don't regrow.... without light the newly cut roots should shrivel up and die pretty quickly, no?

not sure what his are, mine are 10k and they've been in my tank for well over a week, i figured they should have acclimated by now...

here's the situation... i bought a couple beautiful frags from roadking (real nice guy by the way, with some beautiful tanks) he has t5's, i have t5's. now to the weird part, they will stay open all day under the actinics... but very shortly after turning on the white lights, they close up...
