Re: Guy is ripping me off for a skimmer on ebay but posting for sale items on RC
Well, the mod at RC said that I should post as much info in the feedback section there as possible.
The skimmer was a HOT aquamedic flotor.
Right now my filtration is 2 emporer 400 HOT models and a powerhead in...
Re: Guy is ripping me off for a skimmer on ebay but posting for sale items on RC
I actually think I have his address, as I sent him a paypal payment to a confirmed addy. However, I'm kind of hoping that's a last resort. Not even talking about violence here, just the pain in the ass of driving...
Hey guys,
I have a quandry for you:
On March 19th I won a skimmer on eBay. I had emailed the seller before the auction closed, and he got back to me within minutes every time.
I paid for the item immediately. It was a Monday. I asked to be informed of the tracking info.
He wrote back on...
I had the same type of issue recently in my 55. I bought some snails from a guy on the forum here (look in for sale section for mexican snails) and they took care of the entire tank in a matter of days.
Plus, they're kind of cool to watch, too.
Hope that helps!
While I see where you're coming from, I just don't agree. I'm not going to pay a premium price to someone who doesn't give me the time of day for something I can get somewhere else from someone who actually treats me like...well, like you should treat anyone...
I think i have the same hood. 4x96w with 4 moon LEDs. Good stuff. on sale at dr fosters for $199 i believe.
Another guy on here has the same hood too
I'm pretty new to corals, but it's bright enough my wife makes me turn it off at dinner time. ;)
Well, even 22 isn't in my neck of the woods. It takes me about 30 minutes to get to 22 and another few to a shop. Woodbridge is at least 30-45 mins away.
Hillsborough is like 10 minutes from me. Although, i don't think I'll be returning to 'bob's', but that's just me. I'm sure he can be a nice...
I would say Sandy Hook.
It's not a very nice beach for lying down in the summertime, or enjoying the water, but when I stopped there last winter (round this time, actually) to take my dog for a walk, I noticed that it sure is full of shells. And it has a cool distant view of NYC.
:)
I never really understood why anyone would care about LEDs on their tank for night until today. My shy shrimp is like a superhero at night, walking around as high up on the rocks as he can go.
The fish are kind of boring, though. Even the clownfish, although he goes to the very top of the tank...
Thanks, guys. I think I'm going to try and head over to Tom's River and just pick up Mott's light. He seems like a helluva nice guy, and the price is right, and it sounds like exactly what I need.
Thanks for the lookout...I've been keeping my eyes peeled on both rc and manhattanreefs and here...
Well, thanks for the heads up. My tank is acrylic and has no divider.
I can't really afford that solution that you posted either, so I guess I'll just keep my eyes open.
Or pile my rock on one side and put coral over there only. ;)
Re: Any thoughts on this eBay lighting solution?
Any thoughts on whether this would be enough lighting for my 55g?
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1072537
Well, I've had the rock in sw with a powerhead moving it around for about 24 hrs. I just did some tests, and the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate really turned out to be nothing.
Think it's cured (didn't stink at all, either) or I just haven't had it in that 7 gallons long enough yet..?
Re: Any thoughts on this eBay lighting solution?
Roger that, Ghost Rider. i won't be at the meeting though, unfortunately. Sounds like a fun shin-dig though.
I'm a 45+ 100% positive feedback ebay user since 2001. Been round the block there, and you're definitely right on about the feedback.
:)
Re: Any thoughts on this eBay lighting solution?
Mott,
Whenever I think of lights, I always think back to the setup you have for sale.
If I was closer, I'd have that baby sitting on my tank right now. ;)
