Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Check out the filter guys too (www.thefilterguys.com). They have the extra RO cartridge to reduce your waste water. I think the conservation aspect of that would be a bit help to us in the long run.
Yeah, he had PVC holding the rock structure up in a tank that was along the lines of an 800g tank. Pretty crazy.
Coralfan... 36"?! Did you name it? Get a photo of it? I would have been shrieking like a little girl over that one! I had all I could do to get a 14 incher out of the tank. I would...
You will need that sponge that he bought it with. That is its natural diet. It is possible that no other sponge will work. They typically have VERY specialized diets, which is why we can't typically keep them alive in the home aquarium. What region is that sponge from?
It is very cool and you most likely got it WITH its food source. So often in our hobby we can't keep nudi's alive because we don't know or have access to their food source. I would keep it, with the hopes that you purchased enough food for it to graze on for a lifetime!
That is WAY cool. I love the look! Too bad you couldn't disguise flow as well as you can disguise the return. Maybe a tunze in a rock. But if you ever need to get it out of the middle of the rockwork... I'm not sure how that would work.
The worm from Oregon Reef was a eunicid, actually. We had one of those as well, around 14". I'd have to look to see if I could find the pictures of it. I've never had much of a bristle population.
We're among the lucky in NJ my inbound tap is 55-65 as well. Of course I don't know what's in it, so it goes through the RO/DI before going to the tank anyway!
