Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
John, I think your best option might be dosing. Preferably using a dosing pump on a timer as opposed to manually dosing by hand to keep it steadier throughout the day.
Running the fuge light for a longer period may help some too. I don't think I would go 24/7 though because some say the macro...
Haha, yea we caught lots of chicken too! And I prefer the sport of the hand lines too. We used hand lines with net, 2-door box traps, triangle traps (look like a pyramid with 4 triangular sides instead of a normal box shape) and we also had a few that were sort of like a mesh net with...
Funny to see this thread. The wife and I just went crabbing yesterday with my Mom, brother, and his family. We were no where near LBI, in fact, we were on the other side of NJ at a place called Matt's Landing.
My brother said he had a "spot" that was great for crabbing, so we followed him...
Looking great Sal!
I have a roll of plastic hanger strips with holes punched in them that you could use as a support for the drain piping. What I do is just screw in a hook in the top of the stand, hook one end of the strip to it, wrap it around the pipe once, then back up and hook the other...
First I've heard of it (no kidding) and it does look interesting to me too. I also believe this will have the same issues as the Seneye did with the expensive "replacement" maintenance costs associated with it. So, for a typical hobbyist, this likely won't be an economical choice.
However...
Jose, what kind of stands did you have on yours? Was it the kind that slides in a track, and screws hold them in place? If so, I might have a set for you. I know I bought a set a while ago from PA or something and it didn't fit my model.
I'll take a look in the garage this weekend to see if...
While the shield blocking incident may have brought back fond memories of when you were in the Renaissance period Paul :glee:, I'm glad that you and the family (and the fish tank) are all OK. Who knows what might have happened if that all took place when you weren't around? Might have burned...
Come on gang! Help me clean out my garage.
Price drop to $75 OBO for tank and canopy. That's a RR tank plus custom canopy for $1 per gallon. Even PETCO can't beat that! :encouragement:
Great meeting Matt! It was nice to catch up with the old gang again and talk reef. I've been away for a while and I didn't realize how much I missed that.
It was a small but cozy group this month and everything from the conversation to the food to the raffles was fantastic! Really glad I...
I was going to mention you don't need the check valve also... and Kevin explained it perfectly. Instead, I would just put your two unions around the gate valve. You may need to replace or clean that and/or your return pump on occasion, so having the ability to remove both of those without...
Nice work there Earl! I was wondering if that was gonna explode on you or something, LOL. Kinda looked like a giant skimmer in action.
Thanks for posting the vid.
I told him that too. As long as it's strictly a return pump, the DC4000 should be good. Sal, with all the stuff you now realize you need to spend money on... aren't you glad we talked you out of the fancy expensive one? That budget you were planning on spending on the tank alone can now be...
Update:
- Brute is going to Raffle King.
- Stand and sump were sold yesterday
All that remains for sale now is the tank and canopy. That said, new price for the tank/canopy combo is $100 OBO.
