Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Haha, yea, I know that Paul. Thanks.
No, you may not have their phone number. No need to upset that apple cart!
I don't think plastic is on the gift list either, at least not on the traditional one anyway.
Wow, that's an unfortunate string of events. I had my own story for why I couldn't go to RAP:
Friday - Take day off of work and proceed to remove decaying top boards on my deck out back. Remove a gazillion nails and then cut up the old boards into 3-4 feet sections to be disposed of (at a...
Paul, sorry about losing the wrasse and the problems with the leak and rusty leg. However, I think you forgot the part about the involvement of super models. I don't recall ever reading one of your threads where they were not involved so I feel like the story isn't finished yet.
Please update...
I built a whole custom stand/canopy/side cabinet setup for a 120g. You can see my Tale of the Tank Thread Here
It's pretty detailed and has a bunch of pics of the construction and some of the stuff I bought to make it (including a homemade "grommet" to pass wires through the side).
If you...
Thanks Kevin. Tank is doing well! I see you got elected to the board... congrats! I'm sure you will be a big help for the club and I would have voted for you if I was around for the election. :encouragement:
Ant, I'll text you later today after work. Just got a bunch of stuff to do at work...
Entertaining as always Paul! Glad the supermodels made the whole experience better for you. Funny how they always seem to be included in your stories, lol.
Hope you feel better soon and Happy Easter too.
Oh, and I agree with you... one bee sting is not enough to warrant a doctor's visit...
My job has had me really busy lately and to be honest, I got burned out from being on these forums like 24/7. So I decided to take a break and recharge my batteries. I popped in here and there to read some posts and make sure NJRC hasn't exploded without me being around and it seems like...
Aww, I thought this was going to be a story about Mike!
Glad you guys caught it and it survived. Really surprised the cats didn't get it... although ours are afraid of some snake-like cat toys so they probably have a natural fear instinct that put them on the defensive instead of...
I'll be there! I've been out of the loop for a while and need to get back in.
I think I'll be bringing a bacon cheddar dip and a cracker assortment. Maybe something else too.
I also have Malulu's fish food that was taken home from the Swap that I'll be bringing. He said he can't make it...
Sorry I couldn't make the meeting, but WOW Herbie... the pics that Mike shared look awesome. Looks like your tank is almost back to it's glory days! :encouragement:
Wow Steve. The whole build looks great from start to (almost) finish. Can't wait to see it complete.
The slideshow was cool but I agree it was a bit too fast. Would like to see a slower version.
Keep posting your progress bud!
Unfortunately, I can't make this meeting since I had plans to go to the DVRC Frag Swap at Adventure Aquarium with Raffle King.
Herbie always puts on a great meeting so I'm sure whoever goes will have a blast and won't regret it. Wish I could have made this one!
Anyway, I have some fish food...
People were asking about you at our last meeting too Jim. Just thought I'd let you know that a lot of people miss you around here.
Glad to hear everything is good. Say hi to Lynn for us too!
Looking good Hans. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to make sure you add some kind of pipe support to that long horizontal PVC run for the return lines. Otherwise, that might be a lot of weight and torque on the bulkheads and you don't want to have a failure there.
Rock work looks...
