What kind of fish?

What do you have in the DT that are eating your snails? I find a good crew of astreas and new bulbs to work wonders for a bad case of HA. I had a problem with HA with our 65 because of the inhabitants. They ate the snails, but whenever I'd replace them (and the CF bulbs) the HA would go away...

What kind of lighting do you have? And how old are the bulbs? How many snails do you have in there?

So Wendy the second dose is needed to complete his vaccination against Lymes. Does that mean you'll opt not to get the second dose of it (leaving the first dose ineffective)? I'm just curious as to what led to your decision. We have not vaccinated Zenni against lymes though we may end up having...

Re: Brian's 225g Monstrosity! We also have a 150g stock tank and several 55g drums. Let us know what you need! The 150 comes in REALLY hand when you're moving rock/livestock out of one tank to setup another.

Have you tried blowing a fan across the sump?

I think they'd be fine.

If you have 1 overflow it can handle 600gph and if you have 2 overflows it can handle 1200gph. So a dual overflow system with head pressure from Ts, Elbows, rise and run taken into consideration you'd want a 1500-1800gph pump. The amount of "turnover" in your tank is rarely just your return...

How is this different from (or similar to) the current rage on "turf scrubbers"? It seems quite similar, with a few differences.

I would love more details on the build of this. Like how did you apply the cement? How did you use the fence posts and what is the screen made of?How do you remove the screen for cleaning? How much of it do you clean at a time? Thanks for sharing it with us!

I'd worry that those bulbs from the stock lights would encourage algae growth, but I've never run a FO/FOWLR.
