Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Hey all,
Since the weekend I've been contacted by a couple of members requesting info on their missing shirts via text and PM.
As they all had optioned as pickup when ordered and were unable to pick up, I still have all the shirts on-hand and stored.
One I will do my darndest to deliver (if I...
Hi Bob,
Not trying to con you at all.
Your shirt was printed and mailed as soon as I received it.
There was no 'handoff' to save shipping or such or to make any money for myself, don't know where that info came from and truthfully it bothers me a bit.
Anyway, a timeline...
In the initial post...
So, say we do a rebrand of the club.
Can any funds collected by members be used to sustain the club? I assume were doing that now. If so, can we pay up the net fees ahead of time to January and donate balance to charity for 2021?
Then we ask members to understand the plight and re-up...
Look on the net (or in that ancient yellow book thing) for local companies that either make or rent out displays for trade shows.
Give em a call and ask if they have any old large displays or scrap you can haul away or buy cheap.
I've scored loads like that in the past.
So, in resurrecting my 30g IM AIO, I decided to give a go at some UV lighting. I tend to overfeed and under maintain but know the limits. With this build I'd like to try a UV system to see how it goes.
I'm aware of the plusses and minuses of them but, never having used one before, am curious on...
I have to get to some frag plugs when the 3d printer is acting decently again. Look up '3d printed cradles' find what you want (I need an STL file) and I'll print it for you. if you cant find anything I'm sure we can design something fairly easily, like a nail.
So I'm reviving my IM 30 long.
Its's 36" length, 10" (working) width (theres another 6" behind that for the AIO compartments), 13" deep. Nuvo Fusion Pro 30L With Black APS Stand - Innovative Marine
Compartments: Filter media tower (floss/carbon), 2x heaters (on controllers), Skimmer, small UV...
The CPR Marcus linked is actually cheaper by $30 on Amazon.
I'm partial to the Eshopps. As Salt mentioned they work incredibly well, when set properly you cant overflow the sump or tank, and you can easily turn power on and off and they resume suction 99 out of 100 times.
The CPRs rely on an...
Never used it and have had great tanks with live rock and tons of pods in the past.
Can't understand why folks go for RODI, adjust and dose, cure and condition live rock, then add this stuff with random detritus and chem profiles.
If your starting with this stuff, its an expensive alternative to...
Gotta go with RR here.
For a landlord too lazy to come out of her apartment to supply a key to a tenant and requiring your boyfriend to break into the building seems odd.
To have that same extremely lazy landlord move even a tiny tank outside, say 10g, with rock, and substrate, and water (even...
Well, the bow is done.
She's just over 7' in height.
28" draw (standard for longbows) at 50-55 pound draw.
Carved a few dragons in her, few coats of poly, and she's good to go.
Now waiting on some forged bodkin arrowheads, a few ash shafts, and after grabbing some duck feathers from the garden...
Running a Buddy for a few years now.
Two years back I got the booster.
TREMENDOUS difference in increased output and decreased waste.
Plus it backwashes the membranes in the RODI unit as well every time it shuts down...
