I've never used a Cal Reactor, but that one that Trivan linked looks like it could be the best available! I think that if I was considering one, I would certainly include that in the top choices.

It seems to me that Dr. Bingman's recipe is just a lot more concentrated than Dr. Farley's. Perhaps both recipe's will work, but just at different dosage rates?

Kyle, if you have a valid offer for the whole lot and nobody has paid you yet for things they offered to buy... I say you just lock up that deal. You are in a situation where you can't afford to not have it all gone by Friday, so I'm sure everyone would understand. I certainly would.

Yea, Christine Williams sounded familiar to me, but the other two I don't know much about. I think it would be great to get any of those 3 for our Swap as they all seemed to have some great insight and knowledge of the hobby and chemistry.

I would not give up on fish too soon, especially if you intend to keep corals. Active fish are actually helpful for coral survival as they help feed corals and also help keep the cycle going by feeding the beneficial bacteria (ammonia). They may also help out in other ways too, for instance...

Ouch, LOL. Almost got away with it! John, at least you caught your error when you did and although that was a fairly quick spike, the range you ended up at wasn't too bad. I think everything should be fine. The good news is you learned a lesson and won't likely make that mistake again. ;)

It does look pretty interesting. I'm just wondering if all those blinking led colors inside the machine might affect the color comparison of the test sample that the machine makes? Is the sample isolated so that those lights can't be reflected onto the tube?
