February Meeting - Saturday the 21st in Jackson, NJ

Sure. We have PO4 and NO3 colorimeters. We have an old silicates test but I don't know if it is still good or how accurate it is. Your best bet is going to be to send it away and have it tested.

    Club Paintball Game

Our Saturdays are getting hectic so I think a Sunday would be best. Now I just need to find somewhere to lock the kids up a baby sitter!

    Question - Building a cage

Is that pressure treated animal/child safe? My "OMG that's treated with formaldahyde" trigger went off, but I realize that probably isn't really the case anymore.

    90 gal tank question

FWIW that "600g" is usually adequately fed by a mag 7 by the time you factor in head loss.

February Meeting - Saturday the 21st in Jackson, NJ

We're going to have Spiral Ham, a couple of three foot subs and Chicken fingers/nuggets/taters for the kids. Looks like we've got beer, dessert & apps pretty well covered by those already listed. We could use some covered dish type items, sodas, water and juice for those who haven't yet decided...

February Meeting - Saturday the 21st in Jackson, NJ

There's almost always someone with frags for sale and there will be raffles (and the newbies always win). There are several threads in the FS forum for pickup at the meeting and another thread in the announcements forum with frags for sale.

    Get Tanked aquarium salt....

Bob, the discount that we get is off of list and at the time of the buy, list was around 50$ but now the list price is closer to 70. Even at group buy prices and someone picking it up, it would still be 60'ish.

    Salt question

I can tell you that there is no answer. Do a search for salt on here and you'll get a plethora of "This is the best salt" followed by "I hated it for X, Y and Z reasons". What you'll find is that different salts work for different people and if you're content with the salt you're using now then...

    Equipment down grade

I ran my 65 with some hardy softies and no skimmer for years. You COULD do just the sump and the tank. I wouldn't get rid of the sump though. Then you have to worry about topping off directly to the tank, etc.

    Clown Fish Spawning AGAIN!!!

Very nice clutch of eggs there! There's a clownfish breeding book (Joyce someone or other) that's supposed to be pretty good. The jist of it is start a rotifer culture and keep it happy. Then scoop the fish out when they hatch (usually just after lights out, but a flashlight will attract them so...

    Equipment down grade

I'd be inclined to start off with just removing the PO4 reactor and skimmer. See how things fare. Your fish, probably more than the corals will benefit from the added oxygenation created by using the sump.

    Denitrator to CalcReactor

Well since I'm using a Ca reactor as a Sulfur denitrator, I'm sure you can go the other way as well!
