Smell the gas. If it smells like turpentine I would drain the it. Also make sure to drain the cup on the carb. You will see a brass screw to drain it. Try to get all the gas you can out of the Lines as well. Add a little new gas and try to start it.

Did you drain the gas the last time ou used it? That's probably the most common thing to go wrong with them

Great article! Tagging along with what mike said there seems to be a shift in tank husbandry over the last year maybe more. Many people always pushed keeping your tank as clean as possible in regards to nitrate and phosphate. Now we have people dosing nitrates and actually wanting phosphate...

Try folding it up a few times and then attaching it to the clip. It holds up much better that way

I have tried in the past to dose amigos. Anytime I got into regular dosing I did see a bit of improvement in PE, but also usually an increase in algae and sometime cyano. I'm sure they are great for some systems, I just can't say mine was one of them.

Pretty crazy but it seems to happen every few years. I think it was 2 years ago it happened with bunker, this year seems to be peanut bunker.
