Best invention ever is a ReefGadget. Gets your glass clean in a way no other technology can. Unfortunately the maker has gone underground and you'd need dynomite to blast him out. Glad I already have mine!
Yes, you can feed them. They can, similar to acans, put out small tenticles or similar to galaxia put out really long sweepers. Keep an eye out at night.
I agree with Mike and Bill and Jonathan. Although you CAN have too many. I do think that these, not unlike other pests, seem to multiply along with the levels of detritus in our systems which may explain the different experiences in population growth (of course this is just a hunch).

You can get rotifer starter cultures from ReefNutrition. You just need to contact them.
But they can't be kept in your reef. The temps are too high, so you'd need a separate tank for them. As for your ability to modify your posts... that's restricted to NJRC paid members.
