I love avacado as a first food too, but of course that would be on her nix list since it is so full of (wonderful healthy) fats. Maybe she can have some fats and others, but I'm guessing right now that all fats will be limited. Bananas, apples, pears, and the veggies are easy fixins too though!
I'm sorry... so blue eyed blonde haired children are mutants? I'm not sure I follow. Who's to say that all of the clowns in the wild aren't carrying that gene as well (like most of us with the blue eye gene somewhere in our pool)?
That is GREAT news! Continued prayers for Madison to have a VERY minor case. I'm glad you've found a support network that is giving them comfort and insight.
Home made baby foods are easy to do and ensure that you know EXACTLY what they're getting. Sounds cumbersome, but it really isn't. I...
I think his point is that the picasso pair are just a pair of perculas that happen to both have the same rare color morph. Those genes are ALREADY part of the percula gene pool This isn't a different breed any more than my rare yellow color morph of a golden morray is any different than the...
Just one more thought on this, realizing that you have your mind made up...
The one thing that you don't have at the top of your tank (where the overflow box is) that you have an OVERABUNDANCE OF in a sump are bubbles. When the water comes down out of the tank it is splashing and sucking some...
Brian, thanks for your insight and clarification on the issue. I'm relieved to know that these fish are produced as a result of the natural process, and not due to inbreeding.
The one thing that this topic has really brought home with me is that if any of us are purchasing fish for breeding...
Well we tried it and we get just about a 3/4" wave out of the 7095 with our 3 tunzes (of course that's three, not one). I think the wave might be better with the wave box, but I'm not sure. We may build one for the fun of it.
Another thing I learned was that we have 2 of the smaller...
Does the pulse mode on the Tunze multi-controller do this same thing? Could I not just add the wave box to my existing setup? I'm just trying to figure out how to use the parts I have already!
And I had to chuckle at you making that diagram "easier to understand"! LOL!
What a fabulous day with some of my favorite people! Thanks for making this such a great day, gang! Special thanks to Deb for setting it up, following through, and managing the event for us.
Maggianos has to be some of the best food! Mmmmmmmmmm.
Thanks Randy for making the trip down to speak...
Aptasia and mojanos are tough to rid from the tank. Persistance, lack of nutrients, kalk and preditors can help though. If you want to be sure the new tank has no pests then new rock, as Ed said, is definitely the way to go, but that will need to cycle.
Are you on carpet or hardwood? I would...
I have had BTAs and cynaria without losing any shrimp to them (sick and dying would be the only way for that to happen, I'd think). Cukes can hang out in the rocks for a while (or the sand behind the rocks which may be heavy with detritus). Ours usually turn up though.
The shrimp are another...
