I believe hair algae is bad, no matter what. I have known people who have had issues trying to contain it. A 10 days old tank can get this amount of hair algae?

I have two Koriala PH (Model 6) in my 150 gallon. Each is rated 2200 GPH. Is that too much flow for the tank? I am surely having hard time keeping sand in one place but I thought this was normal. Would the fish have issues with too much water movement?

Hey Ian I remember talking to you on Saturday. So far I have seen some spiders and that is it. I was not watching the rocks that closely anyways :P Someone suggested to do some water changes. I am not sure if we should do water changes when the tank is cycling. Will keep you posted.

My 150 is 72X18X29. If the tank is 24 high it is most likely 125 gallon. Maybe the extra 2 inches makes it 150 ...

72X20X24 is 120 gallon not 150. 150 is 29 high.

Very well. I take it back then. To answer why to keep Mandarin Goby if I will not see it - "I was thinking of controlling the pod growth". I guess the pods can always be transfered to the main tank for the Goby to eat them :-)
