my tank has always run pretty high nitrates. this is from a large number of fish and my heavy hand in feeding. I've read a lot of articles and spoken to a lot of people about this issue and there's numerous ways people deal with nitrates from water changes, biopellets, algae scrubbers...

homedepot clip on will do it. had 2 on my sump back in the day and cheato grew like crazy. not my style anymore though. im setting up a reactor with denitrate yo plug up my nitrate issues. no need for lightbulbd, cleaning algae out of sump etc do you have a spare reactor? lol

I believe it's a completely rimless tank. would have to measure the panes to be sure but I don't understand why she had to buy two frames. more likely than not that it had no frames to begin with. if that is the case, you could sell the frames and have the tank for free. shame it's 5 hours out...

Marinedepot brand is a very nice overflow and cheaper than others. have ordered 2 of the larger models and both perfect. kit comes with the drill bit and there should be a sale soon if not already happening.

hi. if you are worried about safety, like gfi... I would look into swapping breakers if possible. some plugs come with gfi, but really that will just protect you from electrocution. I know it sounds serious but electrocution is probably the lesser danger we face with our tanks. some technology...

hey Paul! I just set up my 125 over the last 3 days. it's mostly water from barnegat bay. brackish so I had to add salt and lots of carbon to get it clean. was in a rush didn't wait for high tide and yeah it was pretty brown and cold! few of my fish have come out to say hello!
