You can see it the flex pvc on the return lines coming from under my tank. Trio is right, it's considerably more expensive then rigid pvc. Not that the total cost was all that bad, but rigid PVC, and tubing for that matter, are just less expensive.

It’s just pvc, that is slightly flexable to allow for bends. It’s the same product and installation process as rigid pvc. It doesn’t bend anywhere close to what you can do with tubing.

I have a fluval fx5 which says it's for ponds (I know nothing about pond filtration) available cheap. I used it on a brackish 140 gallon system that was taken down last year. It was oversized for the system, which was cool cause the water was sooo clear it didn't appear to be filled lol. Dave

You sure could, but remember that it's flexable not soft. I have a mix of flex and rigid pvc in my plumbing to keep 45 and 90 fittings to a minimum. In my setup, direct connection created a low hum and it bugged me so I moved to the silicone tubing for the connection from the pvc to the pump...

I like using pvc and flex pvc, with silicone tubing for the first 8-10 inches to keep vibrations to a minimum. Good luck! Dave

The shrimp are grass/glass/ghost shrimp. I'm sure there are more than one species. We catch them for bait by me. I used to catch them for feeders for my brackish estuary tank. I wouldn't for my reef as there were always parasites on them, fairly big ones too. They would die in the brackish...
