thank you all for the info. my big problem in the beginning was my water. since then everything is great I guess I'm a little algae shy from my original set up thanks again.

i left mine on that long when I first purchased them but after about 3-4 weeks algae was a problem.

So far I've been using bi-ionic but it 's not raising it enough so I used turbo cal. to get it up. the bi-ionic keeps it there.

I have to say personally I have never been happy with any of the canister filters. If your not going to run a sump. depending on size of tank perhaps an emperor 400 might do the trick but make sure your using ro water

I'm considering taking out my hermits [mostly blue legged ones] they walk over some delicate corals and unintentionally kill them. anyone else have this experience? I have some snails and they are not a problem

answer to Jrod 150 RR tank about 100lbs live rock external pump lots of water flow almost 0 nitrates cal. at 460 mag about 1300. ph at 8.3 now. salinity .025. 4 green cromis 1 scopas tank. 1 sailfin blenny. 1 coral beauty cleaner shrimp.

oh yea I'm not asking you to judge whether my tank is acclimated it is some books say not to put certain corals in tank before 1 year such as Acropora

what do you think is the best and place to purchase phyoplankton?
