OK.... I sell corals, I don't do tech! How do I put the photos into the thread to make them larger than if I just attach the 5 the forum allows me to. Thanks for your help!
I've seen threads where guys snip their acros, then slice the frag clear in half with a diamond saw. They lay the flat piece (like a half a banana) on a plug. The polyps then grow upwards off that flat piece, creating multiple branches. It's pretty neat to see it grow that way.
I've got a guy who takes photos with his Iphone with an underwater case. Dunks it right in my frag tank, shoots, and wipes it off. They actually come out pretty good.
Guys just a cheap alternative. Black PVC pipe, piece of acrylic, seal well..... off to the races! That's all I use for my top down shots. Just make sure it's deep enough for your lense and large enough to get your hands around the lense to focus.
Coulda sold you a gorgeous 4'x2'x8" deep glasscages tank! We had 3! Just left off craigslist yesterday.... think I sold it too close to home though!
So I figured I'd post some pics of the new tank. Got this from Adesimone after a minor accident involving a car and a fish tank. So, we broke it down (which is no easy task mind you. Marineland Cubes are "Built Ford Tough"), cut out as much silicone as we could, ordered the new glass panel...
I've got these two clowns and I'm bad with clown types, I'll be honest. They're my boys, goin in my cube. Any idea what they might be? One has 2 stripes, other has 3. Both are misbar though. I'm thrown for a loop.
And how do I post large pics??? any help would be greatly appreciated
I'd like to see if we can get a group buy together on T-shirts for the frag swap if anyone is interested. I think they'd be a great seller, check out the design!
I keep hearing horror stories about the nems eating fish. I had one for 5 years, never had an issue, though it would snatch up my hermits, and then spit them out. They looked like marshmallow man exploded on them afterwards!
Welcome to the Club Tom.... You've joined just in time! Our big swap is coming up fast. You'll get to meet all us reef geeks there! Hopefully you can make it.
