I don't know guys...... I'm loving my T5's. I went with the combo Len told me use and the colors are amazing! I set up the T5 fixture over my new 4' x 2' frag tank..... and personally... I think it blows my LED's away. I just don't think LED'***** all the color spectrums unless you use...

+1 for Mike. Keep them low. The orange and red will overcome the rest of the colors if they're up too high. The more insane "Rainbow" acans are found in lower light waters. T5's bring out the colors the best, but you can use LED if they're in the right spot. All about finding the sweet...

You would be best by cutting back as much silicone as possible. It will stick to the old silicone, but you'd want a quality overlapping bead. My cube I cut back about 2" in all directions. Laid silicone for about 4" past where I cut it to. 70 gallons of pressure, and no leaks!

You can replace the glass, but depending on the manufacturer of the tank it may or may not be all that easy! I did a 70 cube recently (Marineland) and it wasn't too hard, just time consuming. Then we tried an Aqueon 40 Breeder and what a nightmare. All depends on how the glass is mounted to...

We've done the Aquastyleonline.com kits as well as the Stevesleds.com kits. Both have their ups and downs. I like Steve's drivers much better, though the old style brick heatsink truly is nicer, IMO. Problem we're seeing is color. While a 2:1 ratio of blues to whites seems like a good combo...
