I think OP was concerned regarding adding too much fish which would raise ammonia levels, why would feeding be a concern?

Hey, consider picking up a few lbs of live rock.. such as from kpaquatics

buy a seachem ammonia badge, stick it on your tank and monitor the ammonia closely. have water readily on hand to do a water change if needed

I don't do waterchanges on my main system, but that's also because I'm following the Reef Moonshiners method.. It's a lot more expensive but people seem to be really happy with this method

I will say that with the one i've been using, I have to rinse it in RODI water before i put it in, otherwise my skimmer goes crazy. Do these poly-fil ones require the same rinsing?
