After dealing with some of the issues with starting dry rock for 2 tanks in a row.. i would recommend looking into and trying getting some live rock from a reputable vendor..

Yes, I run moonshiners, it might not be perfect levels but I am dosing and making corrections as needed, on a monthly basis.

Where are you located?

How long did it take before things settled for you? What symptoms did you experience We’re you struggling with sps as well?

Been struggling to keep SPS.. I suspect it may be due to having started the tank with all dry rock.. I'm looking into getting some live rock from KP Aquatics.. anyone have experience with getting these rocks? Anyone near 08002 interested in combining an order?

i was mixing my own using loudwolf sodium nitrate.. but i think they discontinued it.. alternatively, potassium nitrate can work too: Potassium Nitrate 1 Pound 2 Bottles

I agree with this approach, maybe something I should have tried! @Stephen8169301 if you don't have one already, I really like using the Hanna High Range Nitrate checker.. it's simple and easy to you, with easy to read readings!
