You need the wb object INSIDE of the tank where the light is hitting it. Your shutter speed is how fast the lens opens and closes to let in light. The faster your shutter speed the less light you'll get in. So any time you're overexposing you have two options. Either make the shutter speed...

800 & 1600 are overexposed and blurry. Speed up the shutter speed now. Still way too blue as well. Would be good if you could white balance the camera. Sink a piece of PVC pipe into the tank. Use that to white balance it.

If we want basic camera classes I'm sure the guy from Ritz Camera would be glad to instruct us. He currently does both Nikon specific as well as Canon specific intro to your camera courses.

An ISO of 800-1600, while it would create a "grainier" picture, it really shouldn't allow you to "see every pixel". Can you post up a picture using 800? Auto white balance isn't doing you any favors. You're still carrying too much blue which is why Litivm's alterations made such a difference...

D200/D80/D40 users can use the spreadsheet found in THIS LINK to do some basic camera setup to get you started. There is a LOT of great information in that spreadsheet. It really helped me to learn the camera just going through the spreadsheet and finding all of the functions.

Sams Club has mask/fins/snorkels for the kids for 35$ that will save you a great chunk of change. They only go up to sizes 1-4. We have these and they would be fine for scuba. They also have an adult snorkeling set. You'll probably want to replace it with better stuff for your checkout dives...

What tank/s did you have the first time, Trying? What kind of fish/corals did you keep? Carlo, I think we're all happy when the meeting is in our backyard! Well ok, not everyone would want a meeting in their yard, lol, but certainly nearby!
