    Question about Tropiquarium

I have shopped at Trop for years and have not had the problem you are. I am pretty sure Trop runs their fish systems at a lower salinity than we all do in our tanks which is why we drip acclimate. I am pretty sure Trop even states in their fish guarantee that you have too. We can argue QT...

    10g Frag tank

Egg crate height will be dependent on your light and what corals they are. I agree with trio, DT water and a hob filter with a power head will be perfect.

    Reef-A-Palooza 2017

Almost forgot the most important part: When you pull up the expo center, if you are looking right at it, there is parking underneath the building to the left of the entrance. For volunteers this is probably the best place to park.

    Reef-A-Palooza 2017

Just a couple of quick tips on the eve of this awesome event, for volunteers and for attendees as well. Wear sneakers or comfortable shoes. Chances are you will be on your feet for a while and having nice shoes to wear is pretty crucial. Bring another shirt to wear, this is mainly for raffles...

    Yellow acropora turning green

Depends on your lights as well. Different intensity lights can bring out different colors. Yellow SPS can be really hard to keep that way, what lights are you running and where in the tank is the coral?

    Nem trying to escape?

Possibly moving closer to the light? I don't think he will climb out but there is always a first.

    ATO got stuck on

Yeah, I would listen to the above advice. The general advice on a situation like this is corals can withstand a sharp drop but don't spike it up let it slowly move back up. Long term, you would only use hyposalinity in a fish only system, it would over time kill your corals and inverts...

There is no good dip you can do. Manual removal, scrubbing and dipping might help but they are not 100%

Great store, have gotten fish from them in the past. Call ahead because their hours are a little different than other places. He used to post when new stock was coming in on the website and you wanted to be there when it came in because if would go quickly.

Jim we have the 4 foot frag tank we can host some fish in and even our 60g refugium is a good place for some fish. Let us know if you need some temporary housing.
