Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Too bad you're not going to be at the meeting. There will be enough lenses there to try just about anything you could want to try before you buy it! Between the 105 & the 60, I think the only thing missing is the 200!
It doesn't come with software, but there are cheaper alternatives. Andy uses one, I just don't remember which one it is. We use ours without software, but the software Andy uses (and I'm sure Aquanotes) is cool.
Merv,
We have our heaters going on anything between 60 and 79.5. Any temp less than 60 is because our temp probe came unplugged (drops the temp reading down to 18 degrees), and the heaters go off. Our fans turn on at 80. We could also have it turn lights off too, but right now it isn't doing...
We run ours barely up over the base. If I ran mine that high it would run all over the floor! By the time I add air in, it fills the chamber. Steve, is your goal to have as much air as possible, or as little? Is yours a recircing unit? Does it have 2 becketts or just one?
Those numbers look fine. Your alk dropped because you're no longer supersaturating the tank with CO2. If you can hold those numbers steady you'll be doing well.
My only concern is that kent float valve. Those things are notorious for failure when immersed in salt water (calcification makes them heavy and they don't "float" as readily). That would make the 2 solonoids desireable, but the two ACs would have to be sync'd perfectly in order for it to...
A case of yuengling, a Gaetanos cheese steak and two jelly donuts. ;D
Seriously, I'm not all that far from ya. Not the best of the best... but not the worst either, lol!
If you use the controller to monitor the ph then have it go on at 6.8 and off at 7. That should be all you need to do. Then you'll just need to dial in your effluent and make sure its where you need it after a few more days of testing.
Yeah that 1600 ISO is what I was thinking. That pic got a little grainy on ya. ;D Anything over 400 (maYBE 800) is just too grainy).
Gotta give ya back some of that you were giving me at the meeting!
