Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Welcome to the club and congrats on the tank, we live in point pleasant so good to have someone else local. We use windex wipes to clean the glass if we really want it to look nice. Be very careful with the spray as it can get in your tank and is not good.
Awesome fish, I remember reading an article about how people were using old SPS skeletons and basically covering them in the food they wanted the fish to eat and using that to help get them onto frozen. I don't remember the exact technique, I will have to search for it later.
Yeah, the wrasses are especially funny when it comes to pecking order because it changes as they do. The cf. lancelotus was the most dominant now it is the c. katherines.
Very interesting theory that nitrates/phosphates could have an effect on how it works. I know some people can't get it to go away no matter how much Tech m they dose so you might be onto something.
Great fish, we still have our Kemohora blenny and we love having cleaner gobies around. Nikki is not a fan of the kemohora blenny as it jumped one time in front of us and then bit her when she picked it up. They do have fangs and she was bleeding afterwards.
We run ours about 12 hours and opposite of the main lights. We ran an experiment (we left the timer switch on the on position permanently by accident) for a few months and did not notice anything too bad. Our fuge was growing out of control and we got some hair algae growing amongst the macro...
Regular chemi pure is a work horse and has been around for a while. You get some GFO and carbon in there which is nice. That is the only media we run in our nanos.
Careful with the chemi pure blue, that stuff is made for when you have high phosphates and you need to drop them quickly. I have not read up on it in a while but I don't think it is something you wan to run constantly. We use the chemi pure elite which is the "everyday" stuff and love it.

I can't link to reef central right now because it is blocked at work. If you search there or use Google you should be able to find it.
Edit:
Look for the thread by Humaguy "Humaguy synopsis on the efficacy of garlic for marine fish"
We use LRS and PE Mysis and I still get some live black worms from Trop if I remember.
Everyone be careful with garlic. While it can be very useful for getting new fish to eat, long term repeated feeding of garlic can actually harm and shorten the life span of your fish.
Great move in measuring out the fish food, that is always the one that non fish people mess up.
I would be careful with dosing unless you can do the same and leave out exactly measured portions. Depending on your coral load 10 days might be ok. What is your daily dosing and how much drop off...
