    calibration fluid for refractometer

LOL......what does one do with over 2 liters of calibration fluid? I understand why Randy did the large volume....to increase the accuracy of the measurements of larger amounts....but 2 liters is a life-time supply for the entire NJRC membership! Here's what I'd suggest. Visit a friends...

    Is a MP40wQD compatible with an older non-ES MP40w?

I am by far no expert on this but believe the wireless module on both the QD and the older models is the same. I would think that they would communicate. Simple to answer....shot an email off to Ecotech and I'm sure you'd have an answer within a day.

DIY Float Switch on the Cheap

So I've received a couple PM's about the use of a relay, eliminating it all together, and tonight, the wiring. I wanted to resurrect this post to comment about the use of a relay. What a relay does in this application is switch on and off the 110 volt supply by only using the 12 volt DC...

There is no "best." It's what works for you. I'm very happy with plain old Instant Ocean. Fosters & Smith regularly have a sale for $40 for a 200 gallon box.....with free shipping. Ocean Gallery II also just had a sale for $40 a box.

    The Hummers Have Returned

For those making you're own "nectar", for the first time, one cup sugar to a total of three cups. Once you start to attract hummers, one cup sugar to a total of four cups. I use a four cup Pyrex measuring cup to make up my sugar solution....slightly warmed water in the microwave, before...
