Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Do you have a canopy over the lights? Do you have a heater in the tank? If so what is it set at? What was the tank temp before adding the new pump? What pump are you running?
Are you running an open top tank? What type of lighting? Do you have fans on your lighting/canopy?
You can try putting a small clip on desk fan on your sump or tank. It will evaporate more water but will drop the tank by 2-3 degrees at least.
John, I was thinking the same thing when I saw the river under them. That would be the ultimate belly flop.
That pic is so classic. I need to get that one framed.
Not all species of cukes are sand sifting species. Some are filter feeders and just trap particulate out of the water column. Some will burrow into the sand and remain there with their feeding appendages exposed collecting food.
What is considered the long run? I have been using untreated tap water exclusively for 6 years. I guess I should tell my corals it isn't good for them and maybe I'll have to stop fragging them. And I guess my fish need to know it's bad for them too so they will stop breeding.
You do not need...
Jenn, your's looks more like a lobophyton species. It has polyps on all sides. The yellow fijis are a sacrophyton species and only has polyps on the top side of it.
Greg I'd give it a few months before before fragging it. They are a bit more sensitive than the other toadstools.
Nice piece Greg. Yellow Fiji leathers are one of the more light demanding leathers. They love the light. They are also can be one of the most temperamental and take the longest to settle in and open up. It looks healthy so just give it some more time.
