Are you feeding it? The red finger gorgs are non-photosynthetic and need to be fed daily. Adding foods tot he water should stimulate it's polyps to come out.

When I calibrate mine I just open the pouch of solution and put the probe directly into it. Only thing to take off is the rubber end cap. It should slide right off.

Did you remove the rubber cap from the end of the PH probe? Is the probe fully lugged into the unit?

Chad, I have a 250 magnetic ballast set up I could let go cheap. It is in a custom Stainless steel hood so you could either mount it as is or gut it out and mount in you canopy.
