That, and sometimes they start going in the wrong direction. I have a K2 that does that once in a while.

I use hot water and an old tooth brush. I made the mistake of cleaning one of mine above a sink (dont know why)and lost a shaft down the drain.

I tell you what.. After reading this, I am going to try it out. I have two Maxi-1200's. Both in the back corners angled towards the the front. They might be competing with eachother towards the middle. I also have a K2 that I can toss in there.

Here is a newb question if you ever saw one...(this is also for others that are afraid to ask) Why can't you pre-mix the two till they disolve, then add it to the tank?
