    purple monti cap.... problem help..

Can you tell us a bit more about your tank? Lighting, parameters, tank size? How many leathers do you have in the tank? If you have a lot of leathers in the tank it will make it very difficult to keep SPS corals from all the allelopathy (chemical warfare) the leathers produce. Did you touch the...

    Seahorses

They take a bit of dedication and commitment to keep. All clowns can become territorial and aggressive as they age. That and they are usually aggressive eaters and will out compete the seahorse for food. Seahorses are slow eaters.

Great pictures, Jim. Keep them coming. Actually those pipefish are seadragons, Haliichthys taeniophorus or the ribboned seadragon.

    Seahorses

So far everyone's info is spot on. Seahorses are not difficult IF you meet their needs. They require cooler tank temperatures, 72-74 max, peaceful tank mates and a moderate, dispersed flow, 7-10x turnover as long as you use spray bars and flare nozzles. Minimum tank size would be 29 gallons for...

    Crab trap

Easiest way is to take a drinking glass and lean it against the rock he is in. Drop a little food in and see what happens. The crab will fall in to get the food and the smooth sides won't allow him to climb out. Of course a sharpened wood skewer works well too.

    Rise in ammonia and nitrate

One peppermint shrimp shouldn't cause any noticeable increases in your tank parameters as long as the tank is cycled properly. Your clean up crew will most likely take care of it before it has a chance to rot.
